Cristina is one of the great examples of a Mum 2.0. She is Italian, Mum of 1, works at Google, and is one of the successful female DJs 🎧 of her generation. Cristina is always on the go! After 10 years in London, she has come back to her home city, Milan, where she enjoys the cultural scene and Italian caffè 🙂
How do you feel to be a mum of Milano?
I feel proud to be an ambassador of this amazing initiative bringing together mums from different cities with similar interests to mine.
Why do you like Milano?
Milano is my hometown, is the place where my parents were born and that really means home to me. I love Milano because of it represents the perfect “half way”: it has strategic location as it’s close to the mountains, the seaside and the lakes, and it combines an openness to international people and trends, together with the good taste typical of Italians. I am proud to be Italian, and I am proud to be from Milan!
What kind of mum are you?
I am a working mum with two jobs. I work for Google and I am also a DJ and producer. I am the typical kind of mother that has got used to take a million planes with my daughter on my lap, who likes traveling and socializing and who strives to give a good example to my daughter, that of a woman who can be independent and successful, but always respectful of others and with strong family values. Because yes, even if I have two jobs, the most important things in life for me are my husband and my daughter. 🙂
What are your favorite kids-friendly activities in Milan and around?
MuBa is the museum for kids, I love it so much as it has amazing exhibitions and labs for kids that are really stimulating their brain. I also like to do day trips just out of Milan, to visit farms with animals or beautiful landscapes and take some fresh air.
Which is your favorite kids friendly hotel in Milan?
Favorite restaurant in Milan
There are so many, for fish I recommend Langosteria or A’Riccione, if you want an amazing view of the Duomo, Giacomo all’Arengario is your place. A perfect family restaurant is Pepe Sale in City Life area; it’s not fancy but it has excellent food. I really like it!
Cool spot for brunch
I love a place called Al Fresco, it has a beautiful garden and is very nice for a family, but also friends brunch!
Which is your fav holiday spot in Italy / Europe?
- With kids: Varigotti in Liguria. In general Liguria is easy to reach from Milan and has a lot of super cute villages with pedestrian areas, which make them perfect spots for kids.
- Without kids: I am a DJ, so I could not answer anywhere else but Ibiza 😉
