Villa Bordoni is a 16th-century estate a few kms away from Greve in Chianti. This welcoming and elegant hotel is the perfect base to explore one of Tuscany’s most famous wine regions. Lama di Luna is located in La Murgia, a sub-region of Apulia in the province of Andria, in the north of Puglia. The 19th century farmhouse respects the original structure and was refurbished with techniques of bio-architecture and feng shui :), using natural materials only. Lama di Luna has 5 spacious and bright rooms. The hot water and heating is provided thanks to 48 solar panels. The 4-courses dinner (35€) is served at the restaurant, only using local and seasonal products. Big plus is the cinema where Italian movies are projected every night. Rates from 170€.

Masseria Moroseta | Puglia
Masseria Moroseta is a modern take on the traditional Apulian masseria. It is located 10 minutes away from the hilltop white town of Ostuni, one of Puglia’s most beautiful towns. The house was designed by British architect Andrew Trotter, who has mixed traditional facets of masserie with more modern features. Moroseta has 6 rooms – four doubles and two suites – all decorated differently and connected by a central courtyard. The Masseria shop has beautiful objects for you to bring back home. Dinners are served on the communal table to be shared by the guests and include homemade local dishes made with the garden’s vegetables or handmade pasta. There is also a great selection of local wines and of course the Italian aperitivo. Sauna, steam room and massages available . The perfect pick for a romantic couple stay. Masseria Fulcignano is a laid back hotel in Salento, the southern end of the “heel” of the Italian “boot”. It is located at 15 km from Gallipoli and 32 km from Lecce. Masseria degli Ulivi | Noto, Sicily
Masseria degli Ulivi is located on a hill a few kms away from Noto, one of the most beautiful towns of Sicily and Italy (one of my favourites). Modica, Scicli, Ragusa and Siracusa are great day trips from Noto. The coast is a 30-minute drive away, with unspoilt sandy beaches and in the nature reserve of Vendicari. Masseria degli Ulivi is a simple country house hotel surrounded by olive fields with swimming pool, spa, tennis court and bowling green. Wi-Fi only works in the main building, making it perfect for a detox 🙂 It is a great option for families with family rooms and great value for money. Dimora Cala del Pozzo is the great discovery of our Favignana trip last summer. It is an exclusive boutique hotel offering a simple, elegant and charming stay in one of the most beautiful Italian islands and rather off the radar. It is located amidst the wild countryside in the North Western part of the island with incredible views over the land and sea. The typical sicilian country farmhouse has 8 rooms each with private outdoor area and simple yet elegant style.
