La Paresse en Douce is a Chambre d’hôtes created by Helen and Henk, a dutch couple, who now live in this former ancient monastery. Helen and Henk fell in love with this 17th century structure full of marvellous ancient materials: wood, stone and terra cotta. After some works in the house they decided to turn part of their 750 m2 into a Chambre d’hôte and Table d’hôte.
It is located here, in the heart of the Livradois-Forez Regional Natural Park. It situated in the quiet Auvergne region where you will be able to enjoy its unspoilt countryside, beautiful panoramas with woods, rivers, hills, lakes, volcanoes, mountains and typical French villages. Many activities are offered in the region depending on the season, check them out on their website.
The character of the house has been preserved in the 5 bedrooms (with king size beds) which prices vary from 70 to 120€. The Table d’hôtes offers a tasty dinner made by Henk, the cook. He offers a four-course meal (for 24,5o€) 6 days a week and prepares it with herbs from the garden and locally sourced products.
You will be enchanted by the charm of this house, the nature and relaxation and Henk’s good meals.
